‘tis near Halloween."

Charlie's Baptism

"I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
I know who I am. I know God's plan. I'll follow him in faith.
I believe in the Savior Jesus Christ, I'll honor his name.
I'll do what is right.  I'll follow his light, His truth I will proclaim."

Charlie was baptized Saturday, October 27, by his Dad, William.  He was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by his grandfather, Rex.  Charlie planned the program and called each of us to see if we would be on the program ~ his "GG" Audrey shared her conversion to the gospel and the events surrounding her baptism.  That was really special and very touching to hear.  Papa Ray  and Grandpa Rex were both witnesses during the baptism.  I got to say the closing prayer.
Lots of family and friends were there to be with Charlie on his special day.
Uncle Cory, Aunt Megan, Joshua, Grammie Sandy, Aunt Brittany, MaCaleb and Aunt Tiffany
Uncle Ethan, Joshua and Aunt Megan
 Nathanial and  Dad (Will)
 Grandpa Rex
 Mama Arianne
Two special friends, Teriee and Nancy gave Charlie a new blue tie (to match his eyes Teriee said) and a CTR tie tac!  He is wearing it proudly.

10th Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

"May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
brightened by a song in your heart,
and warmed by the smiles
of the people you love."
~An Old Irish Blessing

Our 10th annual pumpkin  carving contest was held Saturday, October 20th.
Ashton, Charlie and Arianne
The pumpkins were perfect for carving this year ~ and soft enough that the older children carved their own, much to their delight and ours!  We grew lots of small pumpkins in our garden, (an unknown stowaway seed that was prolific!) And Cory picked up some great big ones that were fun to carve.
Charlie, Arianne, James, Nathanial and Hunter
Papa Ray is the Super Scooper ~ he gets all those seeds out pretty quickly, but the kids worked on their own this year as well. . .

Hunter, Joshua and Nathanial
These three cute little cousins are just a few months apart and they loved the slide.  They would play so cute together~ but they aren't old enough to have the "sharing thing" down yet ~ so we had to dry a few tears over the week-end.

Charlie, pinpointing his pattern
Charlie did his own pumpkin this year ~  "A Smirk" ~ it looked just like Joe Biden!
