Joshua's Blessing Day

Joshua Ethan was blessed on Sunday, July 3rd, so we drove up to Logan early Sunday morning to be there for the 8:30 meeting.  Ethan gave him a beautiful blessing and I felt so grateful for a son who honors his priesthood and loves his son and wants the best for him.  My heart was full to watch my good husband, sons and son-in-laws, gather round that darling little boy and I felt the power and strength of the priesthood as they formed a circle around Joshua to give him a name and a blessing.  I am so grateful for the restoration of the priesthood and the great blessing it is in our lives.

We went to Ethan and Megan's home and had a lovely brunch of pancakes, frittatas, fruit, muffins, and juice. We visited for quite a while, then went over to Steve and Janet's, where the children were able to run and play and enjoy their lovely back yard and we all enjoyed a great Cafe Rio style burrito buffet and desserts later in the afternoon. It was a wonderful day.
Janet had lots of fun things for the children to do - they colored pages and stickers galore!

Oh, Where Did June Go?

You can spend it any way you wish, but you only spend it once."

Joshua and Megan
Megan and Joshua came down as a surprise for my birthday ~ what a wonderful surprise that was~ the best! Danielle, Jacob, Sydni, Kourtni, Ally and Mason also came over to join us for some dessert ~love all those cute kids! Was a great day!
Mindy, Ray, Irene, Hylan and Mark
We went over to Denver for a few days to see Ray's Mother, Irene.  It was delightful to be with her as always.  She showed us all the changes in Sheridan, the area where Ray grew up.  We drove over to the old Englewood area to get the best "grilled hot dogs in town," we played Zion's check with Mindy and Irene and got to visit with Ray's cousin, Mark and his son, Hylan.
James enjoyed the sunshine
James came to stay with us for a few days while his Mom was packing and preparing to move  to Cedar City. We had lots of fun making cookies, playing in the pool, helping Grandma weed the garden, jumping on the trampoline, and reading stories.
Hunter and Ashton - bubble time
Brittany, Cory, Hunter and Ashton came down for a week-end for a friend's wedding reception and to enjoy the Elk Ridge City Celebration.
