Looking Back - A Short Week-end Get Away ~ in October 2011

"You can never get to peace and inner security without first acknowledging all of the good things in your life. If you're forever wanting and longing for more without first appreciating things the way they are, you'll stay in discord." ~Doc Childre and Howard Martin, HeartMath Solution

With all the doctor appointments, biopsies, surgeries, more doctors visits and at least 20 trips to the lab for blood work, we both felt a little stressed and needed a break away last week-end.  We were going down to Enoch for Charlie and James' Primary Program, so we decided to go a day early and enjoy the mountains there. Ray will be starting his cancer treatments soon, so we decided we should "run away" for the week-end, as it will be some time before we have the opportunity to go again.

Ray found a lovely condo down at Brian Head, at Cedar Breaks Lodge, so we went down Saturday afternoon and spent a very relaxing and peace-filled afternoon and evening there.
Swimming in their beautiful pool was in the plans. . . but we both fell asleep and had a nap instead . . . but we
definitely plan to go back and enjoy that lovely pool.

It is beautiful there in the mountains, so lovely, peaceful and quiet as it is between seasons for them. We toured the small village, a few shops and went back to our room to enjoy a lovely steak dinner (still on the low-iodine diet) and a movie.

I am so grateful for this good man in my life.  He is lots of fun and as a friend said, "has a demented sort of sense of humor."  He is really "punny, " and quick witted.  He is kind and gentle, thoughtful and always looking for ways to help others.  I love him dearly. He is such a blessing and gift
